"Theatre was our first love. We can't take the theatre out of us. And we wouldn't want to. To us, it is home...
Performing Together is our THING!
Monday 22nd - Saturday 27th February 2021
Based on the original book and concept of the same name by Peter Stone, the musical is a send-up of backstage murder mystery plots, set in 1959 Boston, Massachusetts and follows the fallout when Jessica Cranshaw, the supremely untalented star of Robbin' Hood of the Old West is murdered during her opening night curtain call.
It is up to Lt. Frank Cioffi, a police detective who moonlights as a musical theater fan, to save the show, solve the case, and maybe even find love before the show reopens, without getting killed himself. Cioffi also dreams of being in musical theater.
PRESS RELEASE - CONCORDIA THEATRE & COVID-19
As Covid-19 has a greater effect on our everyday lives, the Trustees at Hinckley Concordia Theatre wish to update volunteers, patrons and members of the rapidly changing scenario they face.
Further to our last statement, it has been decided to close the Theatre completely until further notice. This will mean the cancellation or postponement of all shows for the rest of the present Theatre season. All rehearsals will be cancelled and Concordia will only be open for routine maintenance. The Box Office will also be closed.
The full list of cancellations and postponements can be found on our website www.concordiatheatre.co.uk. Patrons who have purchased a ticket for a cancelled performance will be offered a refund. Patrons with tickets for postponed performances are asked to keep these for use at the re-scheduled performance date when this is known. A more detailed statement will be issued by the Box Office in due course.
We are all facing a period of uncertainty and at the moment we are unable to indicate when our Theatre will be able to operate normally.
