Join us and the inmates of HM Prison Slade!

Further to the news bulletin which we sent on 3rd May, it is with regret that we have to inform everyone that the planned Theatre Fund Raising production of Johnny and Buddy will not now be staged in our February slot. Due to casting problems, Ian has had to pull this show from the theatre schedule, much to the disappointment of many who had already given a great deal of time and effort towards its preparation. HOWEVER – Ian, being Ian, has come up with an alternative which he would like to produce, again as a Theatre Fundraising Production.

The theatre auditorium will create the impression of a TV studio with the audience being involved in an immersive live performance of two of the funniest episodes ever to have been broadcast of the classic TV comedy PORRIDGE, namely No Peace for the Wicked and Pardon. The production will be presented with multiple sets, an all-female television crew in the auditorium played by actors, warm - up artists and singers. Men of all ages, female actors and singers for solo and choral work will be needed.

This is something different, and we do hope that you will come along and join the fun whilst, at the same time, help to swell the coffers for the theatre.

First meeting: Thursday 2nd September at 7.30 p.m. in the Youth Theatre – when Ian will explain all!

Auditions: Thursday 9th and 16th September in the Youth Theatre

Rehearsals to commence Monday 4th October

If you need further information prior to the meeting, do give Ian a ring on 0797 0911958
